Job Description

This is an onsite, part-time, freelance employment offering.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Artist/Typesetter to join our team as a specialist in formatting and designing Annual and ESG reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles, excellent proficiency in typesetting software, and a keen eye for aesthetic appeal. As a Typesetter for Annual and ESG reports, you will play a vital role in translating complex financial information into visually engaging and professional reports, contributing to the overall visual identity and impact of our organization.

Responsibilities:

Layout and Formatting: Utilize typesetting software to create visually appealing layouts, ensuring a consistent and professional design throughout.

Collaboration: Work closely with writers, editors, proofreaders, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.

Style Consistency: Maintain consistency in design elements, color schemes, and overall visual style across all sections of the annual reports.

Adherence to Brand Guidelines: Ensure the design aligns with the organization’s brand guidelines and visual identity.

Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of your work to identify and correct any layout or formatting errors.

Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of assigned work

Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years’ experience in an agency environment 

Education: College degree preferred 

Deadline-Oriented: Proven ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work under pressure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word for typesetting, building templates, style sheets and linked charts in Excel 

Proficiency in the Adobe Suite with a focus on InDesign, Illustrator, and working knowledge of Photoshop 

Design Skills: A solid understanding of design principles, including layout and typography

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in layout, formatting, and overall design to ensure a polished and professional final product.

Communication Skills: Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Additional Information

Compensation & Benefits 

This is a freelance, temporary role with compensation @ $50 - $70 per hour. 

Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills experience, qualifications, and market location

Healthcare coverage is available at the employee's cost and includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance policies depending on weekly hours of service (30 hours min).
