Position Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Photo & Video Production Artist will work closely with the Multimedia Manager the under the guidance of the Creative Director and Marketing leadership to artistically photograph and video spaces, products and people together and/or separately. Operating in an exciting and fast-paced casino environment, the Photo & Video Production Artist will develop, film, and edit to create visual storytelling across multiple platforms, using both photography and videography to inform, engage and entertain. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Pre-Production: Gather and propose ideas and topics for video; Initiate content production meetings for new projects; Assist in the content development and message strategy; Utilize video script writing fundamentals; Set and maintain a production schedule prior to shoot.
  2. Field Production: Sets up shoot including lighting, sound and other technical details; Follows production schedule collaborating with clients for revisions as needed; Records material for content using professional video cameras and still cameras.
  3. Post-production: Performs non-linear editing using Adobe Premiere CC software; Designs using Adobe AfterEffects CC as needed including motion graphics, layout, and animation; Prepare video for multi-media formats including web, and other digital distribution medium; Ensure that all videos meet the needs of a varying audience of ability through the use of captioning and other forms as needed; Encode and archive online videos; Maintain the image and video library and manage content in a collaborative file-sharing environment.
  4. Analyze industry trends and market research with respect to planning, production and post-production and provide recommendations as necessary.
  5. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
  7. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  8. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
  9. Attend all necessary meetings.
  10. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

Position Requirements
Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
  1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  2. Associate's degree in Communications, Journalism, Film or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required if experience requirements have been met.
  3. Must have at least four (4) years' experience in story telling via photo and video production and post-production in a professional setting.
  4. Must have proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher,
  5. Must have expert-level skill using Adobe Photoshop CC / Camera Raw, AfterEffects CC, Premier Pro CC, Prelude CC, Audition CC, and Media Encoder CC in a PC environment.
  6. Exceptional core video-journalism skills, including a high command of video, sound, camera, lights, computers and software used to produce visual and audio journalism is required.
  7. Competency in videography principles from storyboarding and scripting through final editing and show advanced proficiency using video motion software such as Adobe AfterEffects CC, and Premiere CC.
  8. Portfolio-proven talent and skill to shoot still photos and video that is both professional and compelling. Must demonstrate a high command of photo and video techniques through sophisticated craftsmanship.
  9. Experience with advanced multimedia storytelling techniques on multiple platforms a plus.
  10. Ability to work individually and collaborate effectively in a team environment to create quality content across multiple simultaneous projects.
  11. Excellent technical knowledge of non-broadcast video equipment.
  12. Must have proven ability to assess and quickly learn new software packages.
  13. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.

When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
  1. This position requires sitting for long periods of time, as well as some bending and stooping when filming and working with files.
  2. Adequate manual dexterity is involved in regards to operating cameras, typing and/or filing.
  3. Light lifting.
  4. Occasional travel and non-standard hours.
  5. Must be able to effectively understand and communicate to candidates and employees.
  6. Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  7. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
