SalaryWorkd is seeking a talented Product Owner to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI or remotely!
The Product Owner’s purpose is to bridge the desires of the customer and the capabilities of technology. They ensure that the right product features are built at the right time to support business product development and maximize business value delivered. They define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities to ensure alignment between our products and the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
- Define the vision for the team’s product
- Create a product roadmap based on this vision
- Manage the product backlog and prioritize based on changing requirements
- Oversee all stages of product creation including design and development
- Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria
- Write acceptance tests
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process
- Communicate with the product team and end-users to deliver updates
- Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints
- Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap
- Set sprint goals
- Plan releases and upgrades
- Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints
- Analyze preferences and requests of end users
- Refine our Agile methodology based on results and client feedback
- Keep track of industry trends
Skills and Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Working knowledge of product development architecture
- Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work with large teams
- Understanding of design quality standards
Education
- Required – Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related field
Experience
- Required – Minimum of 3 years as a Product Owner, or in a similar role, such as Product Manager
