Job Summary:

The IT Risk Specialist will provide expertise in IT risk reporting with end-to-end Product Ownership for our IT aggregated key risk indicator dashboard. Product Development and technical knowledge will be key to your success as you work to support solving business problems and achieving business strategies within Caterpillar IT and IT across the enterprise.

What You Will Do:

• Contribute to design, development, and deployment of Caterpillar’s holistic IT risk reporting solutions.

• Develop data standards, policies, and procedures to structure the IT risk reporting framework. 

• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization in support of the development of the IT risk reporting framework.

• Create and maintain the mapping of IT risk metrics to the risk identification and remediation processes.

• Identify sources, characteristics, and uses of the organization’s data assets to inform the required IT risk reporting metrics.

• Determine how to display identified risks in an open and transparent manner, also highlighting any data quality or coverage issues, which allow stakeholders to understand and challenge assumptions.

• Provide actionable recommendations to critical stakeholders based on data analysis and findings.

• Works directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution

• Drives solution development focused around delivering valuable IT risk governance features.

• Based on recognized expertise, provides project leadership to process partners, management, vendors, customers, and project teams

What You Have:

• Experience in business processes definition and development.

• Demonstrated capability to lead medium to large-scale projects impacting strategic priorities.

• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms and object-oriented design.

• Passion and hands-on technical experience with the ability to produce proof of concept for complex reporting and demonstrated ability to implement selected solutions. 

• Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment under tight deadlines.

• Advanced experience with Power Bi, Power Automate and SQL.

• Advanced Data Management experience.

Education/Experience: Degree or equivalent experience desired

Top Candidates will also have:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Experience in multiple business processes or organizations and experience in multiple IT disciplines.

• Knowledge and experience in IT risk management with a focus on framework development and reporting

• Strong accountability, planning/organization, teamwork, and customer focus

• Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.

• Executive presence.

Additional Info :

• The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX.

• This role requires 3 days onsite.

• Domestic relocation is available.
