Product Marketing Manager, Lasers, Hybrid

Spectra-Physics, Ophir, Newport and ESI are brands within the MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions division. We provide a full range of solutions including lasers for precision industrial and scientific research applications, laser and LED measurement, beam profiling, precision motion control, optical tables and vibration isolation systems, photonics instruments, temperature sensing, opto-mechanical components, optical elements, and systems for flexible PCB laser processing, high-speed MLCC testing, and CO2-laser-based systems HDI PCB and IC substrate manufacturing. MKS Photonics Solutions enhance our customers' capabilities and productivity in the semiconductor, advanced electronics and specialty industrial markets.
We are looking for a highly motivated Product Marketing Managerto be part of our OEM / Scientific Lasers team. This hybrid role is focused on our External Cavity Diode Laser (ECDL) product line with secondary focus on high finesse, tunable CW lasers used for Industrial applications as well as for scientific research including quantum computing. This provides you with opportunities to work with both B2B and B2C customers.
You Will:

• Be the product champion; providing hands-on support to internal and external customers
• Promote the products to both industrial and scientific markets
• Develop and maintain world-class sales collateral and drive excellent customer support

• Develop and coordinate customer specific requirements in collaboration with other functions
• Direct cross-functional teams to optimize product deliverables
• Optimize internal processes and organize product structures for maximum efficiency
• Manage commercial and scientific customers
• Contribute to forecasting product line volumes and revenues, with sales and operations input

What you bring to the team, along with your curiosity, is:

• B.S. physics, chemistry, materials science, engineering or other technical degree
• 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, product management, customer management, sales engineer, sales of high technology products
• 1+ year of experience with laser technology (co-ops, internships and school projects will be considered) *changed required skills on 12.10
• MS Office skills:
  
  • Excel: able to do pivot tables
  • PowerPoint: able to do presentations at every level
• Travel: There are opportunities for worldwide travel (up to 25%) where you will provide comprehensive support and assistance to our customers, our best-in-class field service team. You will also support trade shows and generate creative ways to highlight key product features.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $108,850.00 - 202,150.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
