Job Description

Summary – Problem to Solve/Opportunity

Insightin Health’s SaaS platform leverages Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning to help Health Plans proactively improve members’ experiences and clinical engagement. We integrate with our Health Plan customers to tie together their disparate data sets and use predictive analytics and machine learning to reveal the members’ stories and insights hidden beneath the data.

As a Product Manager you will be the voice of the customer to all internal technical teams, insuring that all product releases provide new value to our end users. Externally you will build deep relationships with our customers. You’ll listen to their needs from a place of curiosity so you can design and execute the solutions they need to meet their goals, and be the voice of the platform – educating them on the value the platform provides.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President of Product Development.

Key Qualifications

-          3+ years in a technical product management role and experience leading end-to-end product development cycle from concept to launch

-          Prior experience with a health plan, and/or deep understanding of how the Health Insurance Market works including how Health Plans generate revenue, member purchasing behaviors, and CMS Quality programs

-          Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate product requirements to internal technical team and complex analytics capabilities to the customer

-          Experience working closely with cross-functional technical teams to drive successful product deliveries.

-          Advanced personal time and priorities management, and the ability to independently assess and propose solutions to platform and customer risks

-          Prior experience conducting user research and ability to digest customer needs, break down problems into user stories, and develop product solutions that create a better user experience

-          Possess enough technical acumen to help data, development, and analytics team troubleshoot problems and work towards effective solutions

-          Ability to build durable relationships, influence without authority, sell concepts internally, and actively drive decision-making across the organization.

-          Self-motivated, dynamic and flexible, thrives in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability, and able to work efficiently to make continued progress on multiple priorities

Nice to Have Qualifications

-          Ability to effectively troubleshoot data integration problems and some experience with data integration, mapping, and engineering

-          Requirement creation and monitoring in Atlassian’s Suite of Products, Microsoft Projects, or other product development software

-          Client facing product development experience including gathering requirements, running user focus groups, and participating in weekly implementation meetings

-          Experience working within Healthcare Payer Operations

Description

-          Be a strong advocate for our users, and insure that all deliverables solve problems for our users and improve their platform experience

-          Experience managing products through the Full Product Lifecycle including gathering requirements, facilitating UX designs, managing sprints, coordinating with technical teams, and insuring on-time deliveries

-          Detail oriented, and the ability to identify how the smallest design and experience choices impact the overall user experience

-          Collaborate with Technical teams to design and deliver product requirements, troubleshoot issues, and build solutions that improve the member experience

-          Define product success criteria, establish a framework for making business tradeoffs, and develop strategy to drive sustainable improvements to the platform by balancing the business and user needs.

-          Provide end-user training and support, including troubleshooting and issue resolution for platform users

-          Collaborate with business, sales, and product teams to understand business objectives and specific customer segments’ needs.

-          Ownership to influence and create product team processes including requirements gathering, Master Requirements Documentation, product one-pagers and sprint management.

-          Assist the VP of Product Development in building the platform’s product pipeline and R&D efforts

-          Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing technology to propose innovative solutions that drive marketing effectiveness and efficiency

How your success will be measured

-          Deliver products on time. Our team is at its best when it delivers thoughtful product releases on time and in scope.

-          Improve the User Experience. Healthcare analytics can be complicated and difficult to understand. Our team is effective when it delivers simple, easy, and effective features that allow the average business user to interact with and understand complex analytical models.

-          Ignite Cross Functional Collaboration. Our team is successful when it generates discussion with our customers so we gain a deep understanding of the problems they need solved, and when we are the spark that generates collaboration across internal teams to create thoughtful solutions.

Trial Task to Accompany the Resume Submission (Instead of a Cover Letter)

Along with your resume please submit a one-page document to address the below.

Problem/Prompt: The product team concludes each month-long sprint with a production release on the last Friday of the month. This month at the beginning of the sprint you completed the sprint kick-off with the technical teams, got requirement approval from the customer, scoped what would be included in the sprint, and communicated the release items to the customer so they know what to expect in their end-of-month production upload. It is the middle of the sprint the customer requested a requirement change on a release item that the development and data engineering teams have already started work on. It is up to you to decide how to address the request, and whether to include it in the release or push it beyond the customers requested timeline.

Request: In 10 bullet points or less, outline how you would start to figure out how to make your decision to include the item or push it.
