The Product Manager manages the complete product lifecycle, from feature planning through implementation and launch. Focus is on execution of the product roadmap and the product tools, services and support that will improve the productivity of clients, business teams and partners. The right candidate will develop a deep understanding of the product functioning, create channels for getting customer feedback, prioritizing it, and identify ways to continuously improve the product. This is an impact role that will work cross functionally and with the leadership team to help build the right user experience. You will collaborate with a team of designers, content creators, technical staff and clients to understand their problems, design solutions and define requirements to deliver high-quality tools and services. This role allows for a high degree of ownership of the solutions you launch and the ability to make positive change every day in your customer's work life. The Product Manager also serves as a subject matter expert for the MG2 suite of apps, systems, and data products (a blend of custom development and off the shelf solutions). Work is cross functional with Program Development, Process and Communications, Rhythm of Business and Professional Services teams to build functionality supporting team and client needs. \

What your day will look like:

• Collaborate with stakeholders, PMs and designers to refine high level plans into detailed requirements for development projects.

• In partnership with internal teams, define and own roadmaps for the integration of MG2’s custom product suite and third-party solutions.

• Develop and support the firm’s global tech infrastructure that supports our products and customer experiences.

• In partnership with the COO, develop business and technical requirements management of product functionality, availability, performance and metrics.

• Make functional and technical design recommendations that best solve the business needs.

• Writing and cultivating user stories and narratives.

• Manage project plans and SDLC to meet product release goals, owning a strong project managed and prioritized development environment.

• Guide process & communications teams to provide internal support, training and user guidance to studios for all areas of ownership aligned with product and release goals.

• Prioritize backlog to create a consistent stream of work for the development team that is aligned with clients changing needs and priorities.

• Validate product updates to ensure all requirements are met.

• Lead requirements sessions and be able to differentiate between requirements that add value to the whole domain and wish list items that create unnecessary complexity or silos.

• Develop the team’s rigor and adherence to best practices in SDLC and Agile practices.

• Coordinate feature release communications and technical documentation.

• Maintain regular communication with key team members and manage team communication channels - leverage this network to validate requirements and use multiple sources to confirm assumptions.

• Build 'trusted advisor' relationships with senior business leaders, as well as foster collaboration between technology and professional services teams.

Requirements:

• 4+ years’ experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst or relevant experience.

• 4 year degree in business, marketing, and or other applicable degrees.

• 4+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching and optimizing product and service experiences.

• Proven ability to assess technical solutions, problem solve, perform and utilize data analytics, and develop reporting tools.

• Experience delivering technical presentations.

• Experience gathering requirements across diverse areas and users and converting them into product solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and goals.
