Are you passionate about automobiles? Do you have a degree or are you pursuing a degree in Engineering, and would you love to gain some hands-on experience in the Automotive aftermarket? If this sounds like you, then we'd love to hear from you. We are seeking a Product Management Intern- Rotors and Drum who will assist with the new part development process. This position is hands-on and will enhance the candidate's knowledge of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry, as well as enhance their experience with Mechanical Engineering and Metrology. This is an internship program with the flexibility to work 20 to 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. The position is 100% onsite in Bedford Park, IL.

Essential Duties and Key Behaviors:
- Assist the Product Manager for Rotors and Drums with new parts development.
- Order and arrange the delivery (or pick-up) of brake part samples from the parts department at various vehicle dealers in the south/west suburbs of Chicago.
- Measure brake part samples using the following equipment and record measurements.
- Digital caliper, precision caliper, and Thread gauge.
- Occasional communication with personnel at the parts department to obtain information regarding parts fitment.
- Reviewing blueprints versus physical samples and recorded specs
- Photographing brake parts samples.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Completed or pursuing a degree in Automotive technology or a focus on Mechanical Engineering
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and a general knowledge of how to use metrology equipment. (Precision micrometer, measuring caliper, profilometer, etc).
- Proficient with Google Suite or Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
- Highly organized and possesses strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Automotive industry experience or a passion for automobiles, a plus
