Position:Product Engineer

On-Site Position: Logan, UT

Spartronics is seeking a Product Engineer to join our team in Logan, UT. The Product Engineer designs and develops production plans and processes. They identify manufacturability issues of product designs and determine accurate labor quotes. They provide product support for internal and external Spartronics customers. Your contributions will help us continue our journey towards Winning as One: One company. One team. One purpose. One plan. One culture.


Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) analysis
  • Determine total production process input for labor quotes
  • Provide work instructions, processes, and training for production employees
  • Provide product support to internal and external Spartronics customers
  • Investigate and implement new technology and techniques to improve production, reduce cost, and increase efficiency
Requirements:

The experience we’re looking for to add to the team:

Education/License/Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Required)
  • 3-5 years of related work experience (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of engineering practices/procedures regarding electronic components and manufacturing
  • Follow standard practices/procedures to develop solutions for simple engineering issues
  • Basic level failure analysis and troubleshooting
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Work independently and in a team environment
  • Moderate-level computer skills including Microsoft Office and CAD
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing principles including Six Sigma and Lean
  • Good conflict resolution
  • Prioritize and multitask

ITAR Regulations require all candidates be a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Physical Requirements

Typical office environment with occasional exposure to a light manufacturing environment. The hours for this position are Monday-Thursday (Fridays off)- 7 am-5 pm
