Product Director | Remote

As Sr Product Manager, you will partner and co-own your client portfolio with your market facing counterpart. You will understand the critical business problems faced by your client’s market and excel in engineering and embedding high-velocity data driven solutions and predictive algorithms at scale. You and your agile squad will co-develop unique solutions with strategic clients through a well-organized, well-executed, iterative product development cycle. As lead product executive over your portfolio, you will maintain ultimate responsibility for product development and pricing strategy across all client segments within your portfolio. Your performance will be judged by your business results and client impact.

Job Responsibilities

• Co-own the portfolio with Strategic Advisory as lead product executive. Accountable for portfolio growth, retention and profitability.
• Owns the strategic product roadmap for portfolio, maintains market awareness on emerging and competing solutions/technologies and adapts product roadmap accordingly.
• Owns the product pricing strategy for the portfolio in consultation with, and insights from, Market Executive on problem valuation and insights analyst on recommendation.
• Owns the contributory data objective for the portfolio, standardizing ingestion, establishing definitions and supporting our data expansion targets.
• In conjunction with Project Managers, leads the execution of strategic client engagements and custom product engineering maximizing client impact, satisfaction and retention.
• Provides coaching, mentoring and leadership to junior team members; collaboratives and embraces constructive feedback with peers and shared service partners.
• Reports to the Chief Product Officer, Risk Intelligence.
• Manages $5M market portfolio; Deliver 2 Strategic Product Dev Contracts per year

Job Requirements

• Energized by the application of data, analytics and AI/ML to uncover, predict and mitigate risk to life, limb and property in the trucking, agriculture and construction industries.
• Prior insurance industry experience and/or exposure and familiarity with commercial underwriting and/or brokerage operations.
• Prior leadership experience in a technical function as either product owner, lead engineer, data analytics or data scientist.
• Thoroughly grounded in agile methods, Amazon AWS, data engineering and machine learning technologies.
• Flexible management style, comfortable with hands on keys as well as coaching and delegation.
• Exceptional communicator and polished client presence; capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
• Self-directed, results oriented, analytical and data-driven in decision making and planning.
• Excellent team collaborator, well organized and exceptional execution and follow-through.
• Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ yrs Relevant Experience (or 3+ Years + Advanced Degree)

The following compensation information is a good faith estimate and is provided in accordance with applicable state laws. The base salary generally ranges around $180,000 + incentive pay. This range is an estimate based on an applicant’s skills, experience, and training.
