Product Development Intern

HealthEdge is on a mission to drive a digital transformation in healthcare through transaction automation and the enablement of real-time business and clinical engagement among healthcare payers, providers and patients and we are excited to offer our summer internship program for the 6th year!  

HealthEdge offers a paid 12-week virtual internship program that allows students to work on meaningful projects, learn about working in a SaaS company, and have fun along the way! While you are aligned to a specific team throughout the internship, you will get exposure to most of our departments and strategic initiatives via our HealthEdge 101 weekly series. In addition, we provide special events such as our Executive Roundtable and a Fireside Chat with our CEO. But that's not all! You will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops focused on resume writing, presentations, interview preparation, and more.  

We are currently hiring a Product Development Engineering Intern to support our Payer product. HealthRules Payer has been ranked number one in its class among core administration platform solutions. Besides delivering 90%-97% first-pass auto-adjudication rates and 99%+ accuracy, it enables our customers to react swiftly to the latest regulatory shifts and competitive pressures. It opens the door to new value-based reimbursement models, benefit plans and provider contracts. And it provides business insights that improve outcomes, lower costs, and increases transparency.

As a Product Development Engineering Intern, you'll have the ability to: 

• Build Automation on container deployment of the product 
• Work on data model validation to improve Engineering Productivity 
• Improve Product Upgrade experience with additional automation. 

We ask that you are: 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technology major 
• Experience with Java and Shell/Python scripting 

• Collaborative  
• A strong communicator 

Extras! But not required (if applicable): 

• Knowledge of build tools such as maven, Jenkins. 
• Knowledge of Docker Containers.
