Product Development Engineer

Viva Railings is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in driving innovation and excellence in our railing systems. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with a strong background in engineering principles and a passion for product design and development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Design and Development:
  • Lead the design and development of new railing systems and components.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new product concepts.
• Innovation and Improvement:
  • Innovate and improve existing products based on industry trends, customer feedback, and new technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate novel features and technologies into product designs.
• Testing and Validation:
  • Oversee the testing of prototypes and new products to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Analyze test data and make modifications to product designs as required.
• Project Management:
  • Manage the entire Product Development lifecycle from concept to production.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Technical Support:
  • Provide technical expertise and support to other departments, including sales and customer service.
  • Assist in the preparation of product documentation and manuals.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Product Development, preferably in the railing or construction industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
