    Job Description

On Square’s Online Experience team, we're crafting an ecosystem that builds lasting connections between sellers and buyers that make Square and Square Online synonymous with omnichannel commerce. With a focus on F&B, Retail and Services, you will design omnichannel workflows that deliver the best online experience for sellers with multi-fulfillment, multi-locations, and an in-person business. You will also be responsible for execution on features that drive buyer demand and easy re-ordering, such as elevating the Customer Accounts and Loyalty experience across verticalized themes. You will lead the end-to-end design process, including discovery, information architecture, rapid prototyping, and high-polish UX/UI design. This is a highly collaborative role that requires designers to solve for many products, platforms, and audiences.

You will report to the Design Lead for Online Experience and work with a direct team of five other Product Designers.

    You will:

    • Execute best-in-class ordering, shopping, and booking experiences that empower businesses and the people behind them.
    • Create mobile-first designs that support the future of ecommerce.
    • Guide design execution, improve the buyer experience, and work with team members (e.g. designers, product managers, researches and engineers) to launch high-converting buyer experiences.
    • Think holistically about complex systems, empathize with users, and understand goals to create compelling user experiences.
    • You are comfortable contributing to design systems and standards and work to improve these systems and standards.
    • Apply domain expertise, research, data, and prototyping to keep work moving forward.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    You have:

    • Around 5 years of professional design experience, ideally with experience working on end-to-end buyer experience flows.
    • A portfolio of work that reflects your strengths in both UX and visual design skills in which you were the primary designer, with moderate guidance from design leadership.
    • Experience connecting your design work with product, team, and company goals.

    Even better:

    • You plan, scope, and create work that contributes to a larger, long-term plan.
    • You can use your years of experience to quickly move projects forward, using domain expertise, establishing principles, and conducting research.
    • You know when to compromise without sacrificing user experience or design principles.

For consideration, please submit a link to your portfolio.
