Procurement Sourcing Specialist - Supplies Fixtures

An entry-level role that leads strategic sourcing, contracting, and supply management activities for assigned categories. Supports purchasing and supply management activities for assigned spend categories in achieving the goal of significant cost reductions, productivity improvements, and maintaining or improving product quality and vendor service levels. This Sourcing Specialist supports the Supplies Procurement team and will report into a Sourcing Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Gathers complex data, draws insights, and executes data analysis for sourcing initiatives.
• Conducts category-specific market research, uses insights to provide supplier market intelligence, and realize identified savings opportunities.
• Assists Sourcing Manager with complex sourcing, contracting, and supply management activities for assigned categories.
• Ensures efficient and accurate processing and documentation of sourcing transactions (purchase orders) while adhering to financial policies and compliance requirements.
• Lead reporting and analytics for inventory management on assigned categories.
• Builds and maintains key stakeholder relationships.
• Assists Sourcing Managers and Sourcing Senior Managers with management of day-to-day operations and reporting.
• Works with suppliers to ensure contract compliance and address day-to-day issues and inquiries.
• Partners with Legal, Finance, and other business functions as needed for support on the assigned categories.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Related purchasing / buying / sourcing industry experience a plus.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with comfort using standard analysis methods and tools.
• Is proactive, inquisitive, self-motivated, and service-oriented.
• Has a sense of urgency, managing milestones with capacity to prioritize/align conflicting demands in high pace environment.
• Ability to function in ambiguous and/or time-sensitive situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively to multiple levels.
• Ability to collaborate with others to achieve results.
