The Procurement Manager is an exciting new role to join our growing Supply Chain team. This position will be responsible for managing all non-wine direct materials. The key spend categories are glass, corks, capsules, and labels. In addition, this individual will be managing new product launch timelines and packaging development. We have a robust product development timeline therefore this individual will need to have strong project management skills and a high attention to detail. This position will also have one direct report. It is a very hands-on, high-energy role that requires heavy internal and external communication. The position will report to the Director of Supply Chain. This role is a considered hybrid, currently NexTerra works four days in the office and one day remote (subject to change). Responsibilities Ensure that non-wine direct material strategies are aligned with NexTerra’s overarching business strategies, focused on generating continued value to our customers and organization. Review and manage annual spend and present opportunities for efficiency. Conduct RFPs, analyze and negotiate key supplier contracts. Draft and present final contracts for executive review and approval Oversee procurement projects and deadlines from customer selection and sourcing through implementation, collaborating with all stakeholders. Identify, source, and communicate packaging options for new projects lead times and pricing comparisons. Seek ways to improve and enhance the quality of packaging purchased and the timeliness. Own and manage direct supplier relationships and develop key performance metrics. Lead quarterly / annual business reviews and site visits with key suppliers. Manage and lead weekly updates on external customer calls regarding new product launches. Own and ensure project timelines are accurate and properly communicated. Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses. Collaborate with planning teams to ensure suppliers meeting purchase and shipment deadlines. Lead issue resolution with internal team to address supplier and/or customer issues. Oversee formal customer approval and sign-off process while also ensuring product costs, production volume and distributor pricing is accurate. Supervise supply chain team members and delegating tasks across department when necessary. Requirements Must represent NexTerra Wine Co Values A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, purchasing management or a related field of study Minimum of 5-7 years of industry procurement including solid supply chain background Proven leadership skills with a track record of driving positive results through teams in challenging and fast-paced environments. The candidate should possess the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best performance. Dedicated and results-oriented professional with a diverse skill set and history of demonstrating the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve complex problems, and drive continuous improvement.
