Job Summary: A leader in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry seeks a dynamic Manager of Procurement to play a pivotal role in daily operations. In this strategic position, you will balance long-term thinking with functional action to enhance total cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop and manage stakeholder relationships to optimize the balance between company needs and total value.
- Communicate negotiation results and strategy to management and affected functional areas.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Cultivate long-term relationships with suppliers to achieve Total Value for the corporation.
- Implement SRM programs and collaborate effectively with the Supply Chain function.
Commodity Management:
- Develop and update annual commodity plans with stakeholders, including detailed spending analysis.
- Manage multi-year commodity roadmaps and sourcing initiative projects.
- Evaluate global sources to meet service, quality, cost, sustainability, and risk mitigation objectives.
Strategic Sourcing:
- Implement strategic sourcing initiatives, including analyzing commodity markets and executing negotiation strategies.
- Partner with stakeholders to build robust scopes of work and finalize agreements.
Risk Management:
- Evaluate and monitor the risk profile of the supply base, identify mitigation targets, and implement risk improvement initiatives.
- Recommend optimal supply strategies in collaboration with necessary functions.
Synergy Delivery:
- Manage sourcing initiative portfolios, delivering cost reductions against challenging targets.
- Develop strategic procurement programs and make recommendations for implementation.
People Management:
- Lead and administratively manage commodity managers and buyers.
- Influence and coach procurement buyers and representatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of progressive management experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Logistics in regulated industries.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, logistics, science, or accounting.
- APICS, CIPS, or NEVI certification desired.
- Analytic ability, inductive thinking, and proven experience in evaluating suppliers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Lean/Six Sigma training - Green Belt/Black Belt Certification.
- Strong negotiation skills and financial modeling expertise.
- Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and ERP systems.
