Procurement Manager
Your Role:

  • Lead a team of procurement staff for the LDI Business Unit within Tetra Tech.
  • Maintain discipline schedule and balance staff among various projects in the group.
  • Responsible for growing and developing talent withing the group. (Work in conjunction with HR to hire needed personnel)
  • Ensure group is meeting project needs and maintaining quality work that is on schedule and within budget.
  • Possess skills required to interface with clients, existing or new, and "market" the procurement teams abilities to expand the workload.
  • Assist with proposals for developing budgets and schedules for projects.
  • Mentor/develop staff.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts between team members and disciplines as needed.
  • Ability to interface with clients and resolve project issues.
  • Act as a technical resource to help provide workable solutions to clients and disciplines.
  • In addition to the department manager tasking, act as a project lead that has the following responsibilities:
    • Receives, examines, and processes requisitions; prepares bid specifications and other necessary documents related to the purchase of supplies, materials, and equipment; locates source of supply, and prepares purchase requisitions or purchase orders on behalf of the client.
    • Compares costs and evaluates the quality and suitability of supplies, materials, and equipment.
    • Interviews and corresponds with vendors; keeps informed of new products and market conditions and trends.
    • Communications with client regarding invoices and financials as requested.
    • Maintains tracking reports on all project materials and equipment purchased. Expedite and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Interacts with clients and attends regular client meetings.
    • Assists in the supervision and training of less experienced buying personnel and generally is responsible for the supervision of procurement staff.
    • Performs related work as required. Maintain the schedule and budget of assigned projects.
    • Interface with other disciplines, vendors, clients, and contractors

Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or a minimum of five (5) years working in oil & gas or related fields required.
    • Purchasing certification is preferred
    • Knowledge of purchasing methods and procedures.
    • Knowledge of a variety of materials and equipment, the best sources, and appropriate prices for the procurement of such goods.
    • Knowledge of methods of tracking supplies and materials.
    • Knowledge of basic computer operation
    • Knowledge of the methods of the keeping of procurement records.

Per our company policy, this offer is also contingent on passing a criminal background and drug and alcohol test before starting at our company.
The annual salary range is $90,000-$150,000. The compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education and location.
