The ideal candidate will provide analytical and other administrative support to the Procurement organization to meet the business goals of our client.
Job Description

- Ensure working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO 14001:2004 and IATF 16949:2009.
- Understand and apply all policies and procedures.
- Perform analysis and reporting of key procurement activities as requirements are determined.Collect, analyze, and summarize large volumes of data in a format that is meaningful and useful to the business organization.
- Monitor status of expected delivery dates vs the requirement dates and take the necessary action to ensure mill requirements are met
- Monitor blocked invoices for missing goods receipts and work with suppliers, buyers, and end users to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, and to address root cause of repetitive discrepancies.
- Assist with supplier qualification and evaluation process
- Recognize non-conformities with supply base, and work with Purchasing, Central Receiving, etc. to resolve.
- Assist with identifying understock/overstock inventory, expediting when necessary or coordinating returns to vendor when prudent.
- Monitor stock levels to determine at risk inventory situations and inform the appropriate contacts in Purchasing and the mills when actions are needed.
- Manage Certificates of Insurance to ensure clients risk management requirements are met.
- Update and maintain process maps, procedures and other documents, and assist with monitoring internal compliance as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned including but not limited to assisting with contractor time-keeping onboarding, P-Card administration, contractor rate maintenance, processing of FedEx invoices, etc..
Required Skills
- Some college; BS in Business Administration or related field desired
- Interest and ability to work at our site location in Calvert, Alabama.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Purchasing experience desired
- Working knowledge of SAP system, in particular SAP-MM module
- Material Management and Inventory Management knowledge
- Steel Industry Goods/Parts experience
- Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
