We are seeking 2nd and 3rd shift experienced Process Technicians for our Atlanta, GA location!
We offer great benefits and absolutely no work on Sundays!
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Start-up and cycle in new jobs
- Ability to start up a Husky, Nissei, or similar Injection Mold press after a setup is completed
- Work with materials that need drying
- Perform liquid color changes
- Ability to troubleshoot process issues and make the proper changes to the process
- Ability to perform minor machine repairs
- Perform minor mold repairs
- Operate machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
- Assist with material management including the processing of scrap and regrind produced
- Report any molds and machines requiring maintenance
- Perform minor maintenance functions as needed on machines and auxiliary equipment
- Identifying machine faults and production rate errors
- Reporting faults and breakdowns to supervisors and maintenance team
- Maintaining a clean and safe production area
- Identifying areas of production that can be improved or increased
- Performs the process and task for each job specific production mold consisting of varying levels of complexity
- Working knowledge and understanding of scientific injection molding practices
- Injection mold protection, schedule attainment, and workstation cleanliness
- Ensure active production molds are functioning correctly and producing good product throughout the day
- Install injection mold and all auxiliary equipment necessary for production to perform at peak operating levels
- Recognize and rectify any issues within the set-up process
- Demonstrate proper purging methods for material changes
- Responsible for meeting standards for efficiencies and scrap, and safety
- Demonstrate and encourage good manufacturing processes
- Demonstrate and practice good communication skills
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience injection molding
- Experience in high-speed high cavitation processes
- Knowledge of injection molding, one-step molding, two-stage molding, processes and equipment
- Knowledge of Husky, Nissei, or similar Injection Mold machines
- Experience with preforms very helpful
- Experience making adjustments to production equipment processes to change material distribution, weights, heights, and other physical properties/dimensions, etc.
- Knowledge of injection mold change procedures [injection mold setter, injection molding changeover team, injection molding setup tech, injection molding process tech, injection molding super tech] and steps/methods for line changes
