Shift: Afternoons, 230pm-11pm
Reports To: Shift Supervisor & Engineering Director
Position Overview:
Maintain timely production of quality parts by performing die changes, set ups, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines and support equipment in accordance with the Fernco Quality Management System. Supports production efforts to meet Enterprise direction.

What your job duties would be:
- Support production schedule from Enterprise direction
- Perform quick mold change using an overhead crane.
- Adjusts machine control settings in accordance with a set up sheet.
- Examines parts and makes adjustments to machine parameters to produce high quality product.
- Starts/shuts down molding machines per production requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
- Completes all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner so that production processes are continually improved.
- Enters all relevant data into the “MATTEC” computer system so that production can monitor downtime and make improvements.
- Set-up new molds and Staubli magnet clamping system, documenting the procedure and operating instructions.
- Perform mold changes for new orders/jobs with minimal down time.
- Troubleshoot errors within the work process calmly and efficiently.
- Optimize all machine processes by reducing scrap, cycle times, and mold change times.
- Complete all other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in your work station according to the CCI 5S plan.
- Practice safety in your work station and all facilities according to the guidelines of the CCI Handbook.
- Achieve the perfect order by meeting all customer requirements.
- Eliminate waste and add value to Fernco’s production operation to help control labor materials and manufacturing expenses.
