Process Technician (Plastic Injection) - 2nd Shift Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, ensures correct process set-up for injection molding machines that leads to first time quality, improvement in mean time between failure, and reduction in scrap. Roles and responsibilities * Upholds operational priorities of safety, quality, and productivity. * Supports a strong culture of continuous improvement. * Collaborates cross-functionally with other departments and shift counterparts on a regular basis. * Maintains integrity of existing production processes and monitors critical process variables daily. * Works with data, analytical tools, and problem-solving methods to evaluate the molding process and resolve production and quality problems. * Provides functional and technical guidance to novice technicians on proper set-up procedures and operating conditions. * Assists the Process Engineer with process development activities. * Suggests possible process/tool improvements that promote cycle time reduction, SMED principles and other productivity enhancements. * Follows company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook. * Other duties as assigned including filling in as supervisor on the floor when needed. * Aids production and support staff in housekeeping objectives Education, Experience and Skills * High School diploma or equivalent. * Hands-on experience with molding hygroscopic and non-hygroscopic resins. * Experience with RJG eDART System. Master Molder® I & II certification a plus. * Experience with ERP and MES Systems. * Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills. * High level of interpersonal skills to coach team members. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Strong knowledge of Plastic Injection molding, assembly, part design, and tooling. * Ability to multi-task with a high degree of accuracy. * Ability to work weekends and overtime when necessary * Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds. * Standing, bending, lifting, twisting, and walking on a cement floor daily. * Ability to visually inspect parts once per hour with accuracy * Basic computer skills required - Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) a PLUS.
