Job Description
Our Home is looking for an experienced and motivated Process Specialist to join our team in the food and beverage industry. As a leading provider of plant-based snacking options, we are committed to delivering quality products with clean labels and ingredients that our customers can trust. The Process Specialist will be responsible for optimizing and improving the production process to drive efficiency, reduce waste and maximize quality output. They will work with the operations team to ensure high levels of production are achieved while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing production processes to identify areas of improvement and develop new methods to optimize the plant’s performance.
- Develop and implement process changes that meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production processes and resolve production-related issues.
- Planning and execution of Lean system and develop program.
- Develop and deliver presentations and conduct basic training courses associated to Continuous Improvement.
- Identify cost savings opportunities by recommending improvements in process design, equipment, and technology.
- Develop a robust understanding of plant processes and equipment to improve the plant’s production capacity and efficiency.
- Work with the team for problem solving and solutions for any lost production incidents.
- Manage projects and provide engineering support to plant operations and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain essential documentation including standard operating procedures, process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Utilize Redzone production monitoring software to improve production efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- As the Plant Project Coordinator, this individual must be a self-starter with superb initiative and the ability to work well independently and as an active team member.
- Ability to work multiple shifts and have a flexible schedule when necessary.
