Audubon, an EPC company in Houston, is looking for a Process Safety Manager to support plant development projects for the hydrogen team. In this role you will be responsible for implementing the requirements of the OSHA standard to ensure safe operation of the hydrogen production facility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinating and developing a PSM Program for key clients.
- May work directly with clients on site with technical aspects of projects and therefore must be able to communicate technical requirements, concepts, and deliverables clearly and concisely.
- Responsible for training and ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Develop PSM procedures for PSM activities at the client site.
- Execute and manage multiple PSM Program implementation projects simultaneously.
- Implement Process Safety Management Programs and policies for the site.
- Provide assistance with all aspects of the program, with an emphasis on Process Safety Information, Management of Change and Pre-Startup Safety Review, and complete compliance with PSM and RMP regulations.
- Train personnel (internal and external) on PSM Program implementation elements and program execution.
- Support clients during agency inspections.
- Implement best practices, materials, and aids to ensure superior customer experience and continued relationship management.
- Define agendas, objectives, and strategies for departmental development.
- Research new and innovative approaches as needed to remain relevant and distinct.
- Be client-facing, having a proven record of building and maintaining positive and professional client relationships.
- Assist with general Process Safety and risk management program consulting.
- Produce technical reports.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Engineering Degree (chemical or mechanical).
- Five (5) of more years of PSM-related experience.
- One (1) or more years of personnel and project management experience.
- The ability to read process and mechanical drawings (PFD, MFD, P&ID).
- Knowledge of the OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Plan regulations.
- The ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written means, and able to adapt communication to best reach the intended audience within or outside the organization.
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation ability.
- The ability to create and implement learning and development programs.
- Excellent organization and project management skills.
- The ability to engage, approach and build relationships at all levels of an organization.
