As an EHS Process Safety Program Manager, your work will drive the prevention of EHS incidents through hazard analysis and risk assessment including the implementation of Process Safety management programs and Safety in design principles. You will work to ensure that a safe and healthy working environment is achieved through hazard identification, consequence analysis, risk analysis, and risk management. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying risks, unsafe practices, controls to mitigate risk, and ensuring compliance with Microsoft standards and applicable regulations. This opportunity will allow you to have a key role in ensuring the safe delivery of core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft, develop your career and achieve your goals as an EHS professional, and be part of our world class Global EHS Team. 

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As an EHS Process Safety Program Manageryou will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety and Health Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, related field AND 4+ years experience in Environmental Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

     

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant Engineering Field or equivalent. 
  • 5 years of Process Safety experience and knowledge of Process Safety Managment (PSM) practices and standards 
  • 5 years of EHS risk assessment experience including experience applying risk management tools and techniques 
  • Knowledge of and experience in Process Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment methodologies 
  • Demonstrated capability to manage engineering, risk, Process Safety, and to communicate practical recommendations to relevant stakeholders. 

 

  • Environmental Health & Safety IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
