Job Summary
Looking for a Process Operator with experience in a chemical plant.
This position is accountable for operating equipment used to produce organic peroxides.
Accountable for safe work practices while packaging, storing, and monitoring the production processes.
Duties:
Adhere to all plant safety practices. Package products in 35lb jerrycans and 7lb bottles. Use forklift and electric pallet jacks to store products. Monitor and record temperatures, flows, and levels throughout the production process. Operate pumps and valves to move processes from tank to tank. Read P&IDs to learn production units. Send daily turnovers via email to oncoming shifts and management staff. Run laboratory analysis on inline and final tank samples. Clean and maintain orderly and neat work areas.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
A minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial environment.
Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed to maintain a 24/7 operating plant.
Ability to read, speak, and write English.
Valid driver’s license required.
Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms. Additional Desired Qualifications
