Job Description
Works with Process Design Group to develop, maintain and improve accuracy of bill of materials and routing on Jobs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Setup and maintain item codes (raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods) and BOM.
- Receives jobs and reviews them for accuracy.
- Updates any incorrect jobs on the Job/Item level.
- Create items codes in the respective IT system.
- Create BOMs and routings, work with PDG to ensure BOMs are operationally correct and maintained.
- Follow-up and resolve variations in a timely manner.
- Cleanse databases such as duplicates, inconsistencies, performance, etc. on a routine basis
- Work closely with PDG to input new bills of material as well as modified existing bills to support the engineering change process.
- Develop and maintain basic product knowledge.
- Keep informed of market, new products or services, basic technical information, product reliability and other general information of interest to the customer.
- Offer and obtain assistance from peers or supervisor when needed.
- Maintain flexibility in performing other related task or functions as required or assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written.
- Ability to understand/interpret prints/specs.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to type 40 - 65 WPM.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of one-year experience in a clerical position.
- Visual acuity to process paperwork.
- Long periods of sitting at a desk
