Overview

PTG Live Events, LLC, more commonly known as The Pabst Theater Group, is a multi-faceted entertainment organization that hosts over 600 live events annually across five venues in downtown Milwaukee: Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom, Miller High Life Theatre and The Vivarium. The Pabst Theater Group is dedicated to providing top notch hospitality to world-class artists and patrons alike.

The Private Events Manager – Sales & Coordination will assist the Director of Private Events with the booking, planning and execution of Private Events across multiple venues. The Private Events will primarily consist of weddings with additional focus on corporate events, private parties, graduations, fundraisers, dance competitions and more. The ideal candidate for this role is well organized, highly motivated, a detail-oriented self-starter with excellent written, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities:

• The Private Events Manager plans and executes company-wide events, including weddings, corporate events, private parties and more across multiple venues
• Field event inquiries, conduct tours of the venue spaces, write contracts and maintain a relationship with the client from start to finish, including the successful execution of the client’s event
• Conduct sales outreach, including cold calling, cold emailing, attending networking events and similar in order to increase visibility of the venues and book new business
• Create individual event invoices and track payments
• Act as a liaison between guests, clients, vendors, department heads and other members of the company prior to and during events
• Assist with creating and developing internal Events
• Ensure facilities, equipment, physical set up and personnel meet requirements of the event

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in event sales

and/or coordination

• Flexible schedule/willingness to work nights and weekends to ensure proper supervision of all events
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills with an emphasis on providing exemplary customer service in a professional environment

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this professional position would be a combination of salary and performance-based commission pay commensurate with other salaries in the industry and includes health and dental insurance as well as participation in the company 401k program.
