Job Description: Senior VP, Portfolio Management
The Portfolio Management Team is seeking a Senior Principal, Portfolio Management to join the dynamic team reporting to the Head of Portfolio Strategy and Analytics. Successful candidate will play a direct role in the strategy research, implementation, reporting and monitoring.
Investment Strategy Optimize investment strategy Stress test portfolio and strategy, and prepare contingency plan Track purchase vs plan Monitor income and return; monitor exposure vs risk limits Reporting Manage ALCO and senior management reporting Manage investment process meeting materials Modeling Monitor Ongoing Model Performance Work with vendors to test model changes Collaborate with the 2nd and 3rd lines of defense to obtain model change approvals and ensure compliance Basic Qualification • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required • Minimum 10 years of experience in fixed income investment research and management • Strong attention to detail, time management and organization stills • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills • Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability • Team player who takes initiative • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • High degree of personal accountability, good judgement and ability to deal with sensitive and/or confidential information • Ability to think independently and analytically within a defined framework Preferred Qualifications: • MBA or and CFA with degree in economics, accounting, statistics or engineering • 15+ years of total relevant work experience • Strong skills using Intex and Excel with experience with Bloomberg & Blackrock Aladdin • Understanding of Bank Treasury function, ALM and capital • Experience in finance, investments (Modern Portfolio Theory), risk management, and/or derivatives

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $108,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
