The Pleasant Hope R-VI School District is seeking a part-time Special Education Process Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year. Pleasant Hope is also a member of the Exceptional Pupil Cooperative in Bolivar and this provides our district access to knowledgeable consultants to support the duties of the Process Coordinator.
The successful candidate will have a valid Missouri Special Education teaching certificate, effective communication skills, organization, attention to detail, a desire to work collaboratively as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and the ability to oversee special education processes that are student-centered to meet the needs of families, special education staff, and service partners. In collaboration with administrators, educators, and families, the director will provide oversight and professional development for special education processes to inspire, achieve, and maintain a shared vision for learning. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to those listed below as in accordance with the Pleasant Hope R-VI School District and Board of Education policies and regulations under the direction of the Director of Student Services: maintain student records and serve as the district Process Coordinator for IEP's, re-evaluations, and initial evaluations, coordinate and facilitate all testing (where certification allows), attend IEP/Evaluation meetings, attend and provide professional development related to special education, facilitate monthly staffings with each building's special education team, attend TST meetings, MAP-A compliance, assist with reporting as necessary for district compliance to federal law, state law, and Missouri DESE regulations, and assist the Director of Student Services and perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director.
The candidate must possess knowledge, experience and expertise in coordination of services for students with special disabilities, as well as, demonstrate competency and compliance in the special education programs.At least three years of special education experience is required; salary will be commensurate with education and experience based upon the district's salary schedule.
