As a member of this small team, you will contribute to the advancement of the use of PECVD technology in state-of-the-art solar cells. Looking for an engineer with the knowledge, skills, and confidence in mechanical design to quickly turn ideas into reality and help our team provide cost-effective solutions for internal deployment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and document vacuum and electromechanical-based systems and componentsInteract with vendors to ensure that designs are cost-effective and delivered on timeSupport the build of prototype systems by assembling and testing components and sub-assembliesDocument assembly processes and test resultsMaintain lab and test equipment Complies at all times the Environment, Health and Safety and Quality standards, rules and regulationsRequired SkillsAbility to visualize and execute designs in 3DGood understanding of Heat Transfer, Fluids, and Solid MechanicsAble to do first-principle calculations to determine quickly if design direction is correctUnderstanding of vacuum, pneumatic, and fastening hardwareMechanism and servo system design desiredFamiliar with document management systems, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Engineering Change Orders(ECOs)Proficient in the use of MS Excel and MS WordAble to prioritize and manage multiple projects with attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong desire to learnTeam player, but able to work independently with little direction Minimum Education and Experience:BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent5+ years of relevant production level field experience required or M.S. Degree and 3+ years or Ph.D. 2+yearsCAD knowledge: 3D design experience (Inventor, SolidWorks, Pro-Engineer), AutoCADDesign experience in a project environmentVacuum system knowledgeMaintaining or repairing complex mechanical systemsSemiconductor capital equipment experience is a plusSalary Range: $130,000 - $180,000Safety ComplianceYour safety is our number one priority at Maxeon.
