This recently formed division within the HRRM agency plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing our Human Resources mission. Reporting to the Assistant HRRM Director, the Principal leads and manages a dedicated team to drive talent acquisition initiatives, shape the overall employee experience and deliver Benefits and wellness programs that contribute to Ontario's workforce's long-term growth and sustainability.

In addition, an ideal candidate will have advanced level experience with designing and managing a variety of innovative programs related to talent acquisition, recruitment, and employee retention. As a member of the Agency's leadership team, an ideal candidate will also have exceptional written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. A typical combination includes:EDUCATIONA bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, organizational development, public administration or related field.EXPERIENCEFive years of increasingly responsible professional experience in a variety of areas related to Human Resources administration, including at least two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.DESIRABLE* Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, organizational development, public administration or related field.* Previous experience administering CalPERS Retirement and benefit programs* IPMA-HR and/or SHRM Certification(s).* Substantial experience working with labor unions.* Public sector experienceLICENSEIndividuals must be physically capable of operating a; motor vehicle safely and possess a valid, Class C California Driver's License Valid Class C California driver's license, OR be able to demonstrate the ability to travel on scheduled or unscheduled visits to various locations in the City which may or may not be reachable by public transportation.
