Principal (HRBP) Human Resources Business Partner

Job Description
Whole Foods Market is looking for a few Principal HRBPs to join our TMS (Team Member Services) team. One of the positions will support our Technology team and a few other teams. The other position will support a few of our non-tech areas. In these positions, you are a strategic thought-partner to senior business leaders on matters relating to OD, OE, change management, transformation, performance management, and building and sustaining high performing teams. You are responsible for consulting with and advising organizational leaders on adapting and applying HR initiatives and programs within their client group. You will oversee the execution of various HR programs, including team member engagement, talent management, recruiting, training, performance management and HR communications. You'll also assist with escalations involving regulatory matters and/or performance management. Lastly, the HR Business Partner ensures the uniform and equitable application of organization policies and procedures.
These positions are based in Austin, TX and will require three days per week in our downtown offices.
Responsibilities

• Engages with assigned leadership to develop, implement, and monitor progress of strategically focused HR programs, initiatives, policies, and operations.
• Engages with business leaders to understand evolving business needs and associated people and organization requirements.
• Collaborates with HR functions and specialists to ensure proper alignment and focus of HR programs, initiatives, and priorities.
• Monitors HR programs and initiatives company-wide to ensure effective focus and positive impact on enhancing people and organization capability.
• Analyzes tech people and organizational requirements, operations, gaps, and issues - engaging with leadership to understand potential business implications and develop resolution strategies.
• Monitors ongoing compliance with corporate policies / practices and with applicable laws and regulations; addresses and resolves issues of noncompliance promptly and effectively.
• Monitors industry and the competition for potentially impactful people, organization, and related management changes, trends, and challenges.
• Guide and participate in investigations and ensure timely resolution and completion

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience and at least 6 years of progressive HRBP experience
• SPHR, SHRM-SCP preferred. Will accept PHR or SHRM-CP
• For the position supporting tech, we are requiring some prior experience as a strategic Business Partner supporting an engineering-focused technology organization.
• Working applied knowledge of federal, state, and local labor, wage and employment laws
• Excellent presentation skills
• Experience consulting with business leaders on change management
• Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills; ability to gain support and buy-in from various stakeholders
• Team player capable of building sustainable relationships with key partners across the company
• Strong customer service orientation, project management, and follow through skills
• High level aptitude at multi-tasking; excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to travel as required
