Abiomed, a part of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, is recruiting for a Sr. Electronics Production Engineer, located in Danvers, MA.
Abiomed is the world leader in life-saving heart pump technology! The Production Engineering Team plays a crucial role to Abiomed by ensuring our products are built to the highest standards. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electronics Production Engineer to join our diverse team. The successful candidate will play a meaningful role in owning the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes, as well as ensuring the highest level of product quality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues in electronic components and systems
- Develop and implement procedures and maintenance manuals for use by manufacturing technician staff
- Design and implement robust test methods for electronic hardware systems
- Continuously improve electronics test methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to develop and implement quality control measures for electronic components
- Leverage technical expertise to provide support to manufacturing operations
- Participate in design reviews to ensure system manufacturability and reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, within the medical device industry preferred.
- Proven expertise in electronics troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Proven background in test method development and validation.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineering staff.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Preferred:
- Experience in FDA regulated industry and familiarity with CFR 21 Part 11, GMP, and SAS a plus
