Under the general direction of an Administrator I, the incumbent is responsible for providing independent technical expertise for resolving the most complex and sensitive personal income tax and business entity tax collection accounts to a group of collection staff. The incumbent will work within the framework established by state and federal law and related legal interpretations administered by the Franchise Tax Board and consistently apply the policies and procedures established for our collection program. The incumbent will provide support for the Top 500 program and participate in projects designed to provide guidance and increased technical expertise for collection staff. The incumbent may also be a critical Complex Accounts Resolution Team (CART) representative for the implementation of Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR). The incumbent is cross trained to handle internal and external contacts, for instance, inbound/outbound calls, chats, and/or correspondence.

Working Conditions
This position is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.
