Advantive is looking for a highly motivated Pricing Operations Manager to join the Advantive team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, a great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-paced environment. An accomplished pricing analyst is someone who can translate pricing data into actionable profit-enhancing strategies.

The Pricing Operations Manager will report to the Chief Product Officer and be accountable for driving competitive pricing and packaging strategy across the Advantive portfolio of manufacturing and distribution products to gain market share and achieve revenue results. The Pricing Operations Manager will analyze data from multiple sources, develop complex (and sometimes simple) pricing models, and collaborate with product management, sales, and marketing to develop both a product and portfolio pricing strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive all dimensions of pricing strategy for existing products across the business
  • Partner with product managers and key stakeholders across Advantive to create and implement business model, packaging, and pricing strategies for new initiatives
  • Evaluate current products and packages to determine efficacy and opportunity for improvement; Execute on those improvements
  • Engage with new team members from newly acquired businesses to understand their pricing and packaging and integrate the products into the Advantive business
  • Work closely with business systems to implement pricing changes
  • Conduct primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative market research to identify trending business models and packaging and pricing strategies for current and new product initiatives
  • Own and manage internal pricing board to articulate changes and get approval prior to executing on pricing changes
  • Develop financial models for new initiatives to simulate customer behavior and estimate costs using input from finance, sales and product management teams
  • Perform statistical analysis on empirical data, formulates recommendations and presents results
  • Develop and presents business cases for new monetization strategies to executives, marketing teams, and sales staff
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Advantive’s software business, competitors, product portfolio and markets served

Skills & Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative subject area or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a Pricing Operations Manager, pricing analyst or strategist in a similar industry
  • You are a master of Excel
  • Proficiency in business intelligence (BI) software, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Zoho, Domo
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis
  • Extensive experience in analyzing pricing strategies and forecasting revenue and market share
  • Experience in collaborating on pricing strategies with product management, sales and marketing departments
  • Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and develop dynamic pricing tools
  • Advanced ability to present pricing analysis reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
