Essential Job Functions:
- Gather and analyze data from diverse sources to determine costs of raw material, landed cost, labor and manufacturing overhead
- Develop and recommend an effective pricing strategy that aligns with the business goals and objectives
- Supports operations and conducts data analytics projects to provide information and insights to stakeholders for decision-making or solution development
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs
- Implements data standards and deploys tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform data into usable metrics
- Constructs data sets, monitors data quality, troubleshoots and resolves database issues to ensure integrity
- Utilizes scripting, querying tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports and data files
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and requirements.
- Identify factors influencing product costs and conduct cost breakdowns to understand cost drivers and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, and engineering, to gather cost-related data and insights
- Develop and maintain cost models to estimate the production costs of new and existing products.
- Identify opportunities to reduce product costs through process improvements, supplier negotiations, value engineering, and other cost-saving initiatives
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of Data Analytics experience, cost analysis, product costing, or related roles within a manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights
- Proficiency in financial modeling, cost estimation techniques, and Excel
- Experience with ERP systems or cost analysis software is preferred
