Press Operator - 1St And 2Nd Shift

Job Title:Press Operator
Location: Naples, FL
Duration: Contract for 6 months (May extend depending on the client needs)
Work schedule:1st and 2nd shift available

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and operate forming presses.
• Perform forming operations such as bulge forming, axial-load bulge forming, hydroforming, rubber pad forming, superplastic forming, punching, coining, sizing, drawing, and related support operations.
• Detect faulty processes and provide input for their resolution.
• Identify tool wear or damage.
• Check required dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection devices. Follow written instructions and drawings.
• Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning and paperless timecard system.
• Promptly update information contained on press History Sheets. Train others on prior job experience.
• Use company computer systems and tools; Improve processes and tools.
• Work under direct oversight while in the learning phase.
• Demonstrates how to troubleshoot and solve process problems such as back-buckling, wrinkling or loose rads.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• Reads and understands router operations, sketches, blueprints, and specifications as necessary to perform the job function.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Knows where to find this information at Exotic, and asks for help when necessary.
• Must be able to use mathematics relevant to Press Operator functions.
• Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity.
• Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, heat reflective body garments and gloves as required.
• The Press Operator performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
