Offset Press Operator

Experience required. This is a part-time position that could grow into full-time. You will operate Heidelberg QM46 Printmaster 2 color and Itek 975 w T-head, experience on these machines are necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily and ongoing preventative maintenance of press to avoid downtime
• Prioritize workflow to maintain on-time delivery downstream
• Careful and safe completion of all start-up steps
• Maintain productivity and quality within department standards and seek ways to improve personal performance
• Utilize problem-solving skills and collaborate with more senior operators to solve production challenges
• Complete all required paperwork accurately
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including press safety inspections and sustaining 5s standards set for the work area.
• Day shiftwork hours to be announced, minimum 20 hours per week.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience operating a Heidelberg QM46 Print master 2 color
• Some experience in operating, adjusting, or manipulating mechanical machinery or other similar equipment.
• English proficiency (read, write, keep neat and accurate records and interpret written and verbal instructions)
• Basic math skills (accurate adding, subtraction, reading a ruler, etc.)
• Good attention to detail and ability to concentrate for long periods of time
• Positive attitude and self-motivated, interest in cross-training and further skill development highly-desirable
• Ability to work overtime when needed

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires periods of repetitive movement and the ability to twist, bend, reach, grasp, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift and move with hands up to 40 lbs. occasionally and up to 5 lbs. frequently. Must have eyesight suitable for close visual inspection and full-spectrum, color recognition for visual inspection.

Pay: $20.50 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
