Prepress & Data Processing - Direct Mail Printing & Mailing Industry

AD-Vantage Marketing, established in 1984, is a leader in the Bay Area commercial printing industry, specializing in digital printing and Direct Mail advertising.

We’re seeking a motivated individual to assist in computer Data Processing, the ability to process/import/cleanse data and art files for printing and mailing of our clients' promotional materials. The daily operations would include processing mailing lists (inspect, format, correct, identify and remove duplicate records) for postal addressing or variable data printing; as well as utilizing USPS presort software in preparation of our customers' art files for digital or offset (litho) printing. Knowledge of Illustrator and InDesign would be very helpful, as well as experience in the printing/Mailing Industry.

Candidates need to be flexible, quick learners with a high level of attention to detail. The position requires multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• High School & 1-2 years college, or equivalent work experience (2 or more years)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, namely Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• High degree of computer literacy, especially Access, Excel and Word
• Extremely organized with high attention to detail
• Commercial printing, Direct Mail marketing and/or mailing list database experience is highly desirable

Job Expectations:

• Carefully read work order and understand the project specifications and timelines
• Audit, troubleshoot and fix any potential file issues before printing (ie: fonts, colors, bleeds). Most customer art files are digitally received from their graphic artists so only a slight tweak, here and there, may only be necessary. Therefore, we're not looking specifically for a graphic artist
• Communicate with account reps to ensure quality and consistency
• Be a cordial and supportive team player
• Demonstrate motivation and willingness to learn new skills
• Strive for excellence and take pride in your work
• Ability to focus and be highly organized

Job Type: Full-Time (8-hour shifts, Mon-Fri)

Pay: $24 to $32 per hour (starting D.O.E.)
