Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Urgent Care/Occupational Health
Location: Rochester, NY
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm - open hours, not working hours (No Holidays)
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at an Urgent Care/Occupational Health facility in Rochester, NY. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and no holiday requirements. In addition to traditional radiologic technologist responsibilities, this role will also involve functioning as a medical assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Radiologic Technologist Duties:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Ensure the proper positioning of patients and use of radiation protection measures.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring quality control and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary imaging and ensure accurate interpretation of results.
- Maintain patient records and ensure the confidentiality of medical information.
- Medical Assistant Functions:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as collecting specimens, and conducting basic laboratory tests.
- Handle administrative tasks, including patient scheduling, electronic health record documentation, and maintaining medical supplies.
Requirements:
- Certification: Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
- License: Current New York State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Experience: Previous experience in urgent care or occupational health settings is preferred.
- Medical Assisting: Proficiency in medical assisting tasks and procedures.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
