The Portfolio Manager will set direction, drive initiatives, products and upstream marketing leadership in our rapidly growing Stryker Medical's ProCare services business. This marketer will identify and create new services, and customer experience programs in conjunction with new capital launches for the Medical business. S/he will collaborate with other portfolio and brand marketers to assist in development of strategic plans and portfolio roadmaps to drive sustainable top-line and bottom-line growth. Additionally, this individual will execute voice of customer/sales/service research to quantify and assess opportunities, measure market and competitor opportunities and threats, and scope service growth areas. S/he will be a key member of the ProCare Services and Medical marketing teams, helping to collaborate with the team, set direction, and inspire others.

What you will do:
- Effectively use and interpret qualitative and quantitative research
- Combines historical and current data to generate market research reports
- Utilize market research and third-party data to identify key industry trends
- Research key factors, measurements and variables used in forecasting
- Document performance criteria used for evaluating business trends and activities
- Delivers high quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities
- Develops procedures for product planning, development, and delivery cycles
- Research features and benefits and how they translate to value for our customers
- Collaborates with internal and external cross-functional teams to build partnership to achieve business objectives
- Understand the needs of our service team, the business units we partner with, and most importantly customers and patients and create a compelling value proposition
- Understand customer need and builds value proposition
- Build financial business case model to support new product development funding and product return on investment
- Assist in the development of sales tools and channel communication
- Assist in the development of new marketing channels and tools
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to launch plans for new offerings
- Partner with service operations to propose research objectives for evidence generation (Clinical studies, research papers, etc.)
- Partner with Product Marketing to develop a messaging strategy
- Able to write key documents, including, but not limited to, strategic plan, business reviews, marketing strategies, proposals and recommendations
- Understands the linkages between all components of the Big Picture framework; relates upstream decisions to executional decisions.
- Leverage core competencies and the strategic assets of the organization to maximize new product development and launch planning
- Understand the costs of acquiring new customers vs. retaining current customers/
- Understand potential sources of new volume within current customer segment or outside of the current segment and the financial tradeoffs for pursuing each
- May coach and mentor marketing personnel
- Effectively manages key relationships and work activity
- Support the in-person requirements of the role, including customer engagement activity as needed
- Adheres to organizational protocols, practices and procedures for gathering competitive information
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 6+ years of work experience
What is preferred:
- 1+ years of marketing experience preferred
Travel Percentage: 30%
