Title: Pool Attendant

General Purpose: We are seeking a diligent and proactive Pool Attendant to join our team. The Pool Attendant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness around the pool area, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a customer-oriented approach to deliver exceptional service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
¨ Approach all interaction with colleagues, Members, and guests in a courteous, service-oriented manner; attentive, friendly, helpful, and respectful to Members, guests, vendors and colleagues.
¨ Report to work and clock in/out for scheduled shifts and meal and rest periods on time in complete and proper uniform.
¨ Maintain personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
¨ Subscribe to the principle of continual improvement in all facets of the operation.
¨ Know assigned service area upon the start of each shift and pay close attention to the activity within that service area.
¨ Greet Members by name within 5 minutes of arrival at their respective seat at the pool, Crow’s Nest, and Sunset Terrace.
¨ Clean and maintain the pool deck, including sweeping, mopping, and power washing areas as needed.
¨ Arrange pool chairs, tables and umbrellas according to floor plan.
¨ Restock towels, member supplies and water.
¨ Monitor and maintain cleanliness of pool water, skimming for debris, and promptly report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
¨ Provide assistance to guests by answering inquiries, providing information, and assisting with their needs.
¨ Perform any maintenance tasks on pool deck and furniture as needed.
¨ Set up beach seating, umbrellas and tables as requested by membership.
¨ Assist in maintaining inventory and inform management of any shortages of supplies.
¨ Visit each Member at least once in every 30-minute interval after their arrival.
¨ Familiarize with the Members’ preferences as reflected in their Membership profile.
¨ Set up and break down service and member stations
¨ Keep all work areas and server stations clean and properly stocked
¨ Communicate with co-workers and management throughout shift to ensure efficiency of service
¨ Assist fellow employees as needed throughout the shift
¨ Attend pre-shift meetings, trainings, and all staff meetings as required/requested
¨ Follow all Club policies, systems, controls and procedures
¨ Perform other duties as assigned
¨ Helps promote a safe work environment in all operational areas and endeavors.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
¨ Fluency in English language
¨ Excellent Member and guest-relation communication skills
¨ Ability to read, and comprehend memos, correspondence, and special instructions
¨ Basic math skills
¨ Dynamic outgoing personality; articulate, friendly, punctual, and proactive
¨ Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment
¨ High level of client services, professionalism, and attention to detail; professional appearance appropriate for a premier country club
¨ Problem solving, reasoning, and “thinking out of the box”; ability to apply common sense understanding to better serve our internal and external guests’ needs
¨ Ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results
¨ Ability to read, comprehend, and abide by the rules of the Coral Casino Employee Handbook
¨ Ability to work Holidays and all shifts according to your availability provided at the time of hire
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
¨ Minimum two years in private club, high end hospitality, pool/ beach environment or related field
¨ High school diploma or equivalent
¨ CPR certified a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
¨ Frequently stands/walks for prolonged periods of time, for at least eight hours
¨ Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and reach
¨ Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift at least 50 pounds; ability to move furniture
¨ Ability to carry up to 25 pounds on a tray for long distances
¨ Ability to withstand continuous repetitive motions
¨ Primarily works outdoors, in cold, heat, and precipitation.
¨ Sometimes works on wet and slippery surfaces, sandy surfaces on occasion
¨ May be exposed to loud noise
¨ May come into contact with fumes, open flames, hot and cold surfaces, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, sharp knives and other objects
