Job Title: Groundskeeper/Painter Status: Full-time Non-Exempt Reports to: Chief Engineer Payroll Allocation: 50% Turnberry Towers Community Association 50% Turnberry Towers West Unit-Owners Association
Position Summary: Utilizing Groundskeeper Checklist, maintain the perimeter and grounds of Turnberry Towers Community Association. Perform painting jobs as needed. Assist Pool Attendants, Receiving Manager and Chief Engineer with daily tasks and projects as needed. Essential Tasks: Pick up trash, litter and cigarette butts from sidewalks and hard surfaces on a regular, ongoing basis inside the community and on the perimeter of the community on Karen Avenue, Paradise Road and Joe W. Brown Drive. Remove trash and debris from landscaped areas on a regular, on going basis inside the community and on the perimeter of the community on Karen Avenue, Paradise Road and Joe. W. Brown Drive. Paint all surfaces within the community on a regular basis. Pick up dog feces in dog parks on a regular, on-going basis. Empty trash can and feces receptacles in dog parks on a regular, on-going basis. Replace doggie bags as needed. Empty trash cans periodically throughout shift, including ash urns. Wipe down furniture and tables in pool and cabana areas. Sweep and clean all community sidewalks. Sweep and clean tennis courts. Sweep and clean receiving lot. Sweep and clean parking garage when requested. Clean curbs in community. Clean bathrooms, showers, water fountains as needed; replace paper towels and toilet paper as needed. Clean cabana area as needed; wipe counters, mop floor, clean sinks, etc. Sweep off stones and remove leaves, twigs, trash and debris from sidewalks on a regular basis. Pick up trash and remove feces from dog parks on a regular basis; replace doggy bags. Check barbecue lights, ice machines, and water dispensers on a regular basis and notify Chief Engineer if not functioning properly; replace cups in dispensers. Wipe down fitness equipment; replace cups as needed. Clean lobby level windows, doors, revolving door, sliding doors on a regular basis. Assist Pool Attendants as needed. Assist Receiving Manager as needed Assist Chief Engineer as needed Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Executive Manager. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. At least six months related experience required. Ability to follow daily checklist and write comments as necessary. Updated 2-2014 Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required; respond promptly to customer needs; respond to requests for service and assistance; meet commitments. Ability to work in outside weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat. Willingness to work with moving mechanical parts, climb ladders and work in high places.
