Policy and Customer Service Representative
OVERVIEW
The Policy Service Representative will provide exemplary Customer Service in a fast paced, high call volume environment. The representative will display effective time management and sound decision-making abilities. The representative will deliver meticulous underwriting with attention to detail.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Customer Service Functions
* Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers at all times
* Respond promptly to customer inquiries
* Communicate with customers through various channels
* Keep records of customer interactions, transactions and comments
*Policy Service/Underwriting Functions
* Use sound decision making abilities to process all types of policy transactions
* Review suspense items and uploaded documents and determine acceptability
* Apply payments, process refunds, handle NSF payments
* Provide letters of experience on policies as needed
o Review and handle department voicemail, emails, mail, faxes and texts
· Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
· Experience preferred, but not required
· Proficient with MS Office
· Demonstrates a high degree of judgment and discretion
· Demonstrates effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills
· Promotes a favorable company image to the public
· Positive attitude and Team player
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
