We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller with experience in the Podiatry specialty to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, as well as a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and billing systems. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and processing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient billing records.
Responsibilities:
- Enter coded data into the billing system and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and appeals to ensure maximum reimbursement
- Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients regarding claim status and payment issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records
- Adhere to all relevant coding guidelines, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Stay current with changes in medical coding guidelines and reimbursement policies
Skills:
- Proficient in medical coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Familiarity with medical billing software systems
- Experience with medical collections and accounts receivable management
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and data entry
- Strong analytical skills to review medical records for coding accuracy
- Effective communication skills to interact with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients
