Plastic Injection Molding Process Technician

Tramec Plastics & Composites of Elk Grove Village, Illinois is currently seeking a Plastic Injection Molding Process Technician.

Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for shift start-up and shut down of injection mold machines and companion equipment.
• Troubleshooting Injection Molding machines and associated equipment. (Document in MaintainX)
• Performs mold, insert and material changeovers.
• Work with required suppliers and department staff to improve processes and problem resolution. (Formal Mold Processing Training I.E. RJG Master Molder or Decouple 2 Molding Process knowledge a plus)
• Tear down, clean and maintain molds. (Document in MaintainX)

Backup and support

• Monitors process and inspects parts at start up and during production run.
• Move finished goods to inventory.
• Print required labels.
• Monitor and replenish press cell station (boxes resin, pallets, etc.)
• Record production activity via production tracking system
• Grind scrap parts and advise on regrind inventory.
• Provide training to other associates.
• May be required by Management to perform other reasonable work-related tasks.
• May be required to work different shifts, hours, overtime, and weekends if needed.
• Other duties to be assigned.

• Stooping, twisting, reaching, and climbing.
• Lifting-up to 50lbs.

Other

• Spanish speaking a plus
• 5 Years recent experience in field preferred
