The role you will play:,
General Summary:
You will work closely with the Project Managers in learning all the intricacies of the new facility and its operation. You will learn all the company's policies, procedures, and SOPs and implement them upon the commissioning of the plant.
Once Start-Up is under way, you will:
Manage all aspects of the facility operations in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
Ensure successful execution of the short and long-term operations and objectives of the facility.
Duties Include:
  • Develop, plan, and execute the capital and expense budgets for the facility.
  • Be actively involved in the staffing of the plant and building your team.
  • Develop an effective onboarding program for all new employees to ensure compliance with all of the company's policies and procedures.
  • Supervise daily plant activities
  • Review and report financial, operations, and production data.
  • Learn and establish a positive working culture
  • Oversee maintenance of plant inventory, including:
    1. Storage Inspection
    2. Product & Part Purchase Approval
    3. Transportation Coordination
  • Develop and maintain a facility of cleanliness and safety
  • Ensure that product quality complies with applicable protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable governing laws & regulations
  • Select, recommend, evaluate, and approve internal candidates for positions within the plant
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and accurate operations

Background Profile :
  • BS degree in Engineering/Science-Based along with a strong business acumen
  • Experience with a Plant Start-Up or major plant expansion is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of Plant Management Experience in commodities processing:
    1. Soybean
    2. Cottonseed
    3. Pine Tar
    4. Corn
  • Knowledge of the multiple facets of producing a finished product from a raw source.
  • Ability to operate RX Logix 5000 and RSS Linx
  • Track record of compliance with industry regulations and guidelines, including
    1. NFPA
    2. EPA
    3. OSHA
    4. PSM
  • NOPA Weigh Master Certification required.
  • Able to establish and maintain an effective culture
  • Ability to develop and maintain a motivated workforce
  • Accomplished at establishing and working within budgets
  • Track record of establishing and maintaining a culture of safety
  • Skilled in compliance with applicable quality protocols
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of identifying and promoting talent
  • Excellent communicator at all levels in the organization
  • Analytical thinker and adept problem-solver
  • Requisite computer skills
