Plant Manager

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is excited to collaborate with a leader in the mining, manufacturing, and infrastructure sector, searching for a dynamic Plant Manager in Earlington, KY. This pivotal role involves overseeing production operations, focusing on the manufacture of metal roof support products for the mining and tunneling industries.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate plant production operations, ensuring adherence to customer specifications and ASTM-F432 (USA) standards in steel strata control product manufacturing.
• Develop, implement, and monitor procedures for cost-effective use of materials, labor, and equipment to meet production demands.
• Coordinate production schedules to maintain sufficient inventory of raw materials and finished products.
• Monitor production processes, emphasizing adherence to quality/safety inspection reporting and ASTM-F432 (USA) and ISO 9001 standards.
• Coordinate and monitor machine and equipment maintenance schedules for a cost-effective production process.
• Hire and train employees in machine/equipment use and steel processing procedures.
• Attend corporate training sessions to stay updated on innovative procedures for maintaining a competitive edge.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma Required; College/University Engineering Degree, Preferred
• Minimum Five (5) Years Supervisory/Managerial Experience Required; or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
• Forging/Stamping Experience Preferred (metalworking processes)
• ISO 9001 Experience, A Plus

• Strong organizational skills to develop and implement production schedules.
• Ability to develop and implement quality/safety procedures throughout production operations.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills for all levels of personnel and senior management.
• Strong information gathering and monitoring skills for effective decision-making.
• Mathematical ability to manage production budgets.
• Fundamental computer literacy with knowledge of management software.
• Dependability to be consistently at work and on time.
• "Team" mentality with the ability to lead and achieve results through others.
• Physical capability for light/medium lifting, sitting, and standing as needed.
