Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various welding tasks with an emphasis on Mechanical Piping from 1/2" to 16" carbon steel using a SMAW process. You will work with a variety of materials, interpret blueprints, and utilize carious welding techniques to produce high-quality products.
Pay Range
$30 - $35 / Hourly - Pay rate is determined upon interview and experience.
Reports To
JOC Project Manager and/or General Foreman
Job Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and quality welds.
- Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting and shaping components.
- Ensure proper fit and alignment of welded parts, making adjustments as necessary.
- Identify and repair any defects or imperfections in the welding process.
- Work closely with other team members and departments to achieve project deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
- Proficient in various welding techniques.
- Minimum of 2 years Pipe Welding Experience using SMAW.
- Strong attention to detail and precision work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 3-4+ Years of Welding Experience.
- Will need to clear a background check as this job requires work to be performed on government job sites that need clearance.
- Willing to work occasional nights, weekends, etc.
Additional but Not Required
- Highschool GED or Some College.
- Some sheet metal fabricating experience.
- Welding Certifications (6G Preferred).
- Understanding of Mechanical Piping Systems is a bonus.
