Pipe Layer/Laborer

Neuvirth Construction primarily performs work installing underground utilities. We are a family owned and operated business established in 1985. Job Description

Neuvirth is seeking a full-time qualified Pipe Laborer to install sanitary, storm, & water piping on civil and private projects

Responsibilities:

• Complete projects from start to finish by:
• Understanding blueprints
• Working under the supervision of a Foreman
• Performing skilled manual Labor laying pipe in various sizes and configurations
• Making Tie-ins to structures
• Applying Cement, mortar, tar or paint
• Sealing cracks (sometimes from within the underground pipe)
• Clear around pipe to make repairs
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment of pipe

Requirements:

• Dependable and willing to report to work on time
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to participate in job related training and development courses
• Valid driver’s license
• Own transportation to various work sites within the Omaha & surrounding suburbs
• Ability to pass background check and drug test
• 10 or 30-Hour OSHA Certification (we will provide training if necessary)
• Confined Space (we will provide training if necessary)

Required Skills:

• Highschool Education
• Ability to read stakes, set up lasers, and understand percent of slope (Maybe this should be below)

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to finish concrete
• Ability to read stakes, set up lasers, and understand percent of slope
• Function in Excavated trench boxes up to 20vf deep

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
